Why We Expanded Our Line (and Why It Took Us So Long)
Have you ever wondered why a small business doesn’t simply add every product customers ask for? We’ve asked ourselves that, too.
At Bubbly Babes, growing our line has never been about adding more for the sake of more. It’s about finding products we genuinely feel good offering you, and making sure that growth doesn’t take us away from the things we already do best.
That takes time. And we’re glad we took it.
Our handmade roots are still at the heart of it
Bubbly Babes started with the kind of products we love to make and use: rich velvet body butters, foaming bath whips, glowing sugar scrubs, fitness salt scrubs, and donkey milk soaps. We make these signature favorites by hand in small batches in D’Iberville, Mississippi, on the Gulf Coast.
There’s a special kind of care in that work. We choose the ingredients, make the batches, and pay attention to the texture, scent, and feel of each product. It’s hands-on, personal, and a big part of who we are.
As our community grew, so did the conversations we had with customers. You asked us about hair and scalp care. You wanted more options for your skincare routine. We listened, and we began exploring how we could expand thoughtfully without letting go of our standards, or losing the time and attention our original products deserve.
Why it took us a while
The honest answer? We didn’t want to rush.
When we put our name on a product, we want to feel confident in its ingredients, its quality, and the care behind it. That meant taking time to find expert formulators whose approach aligned with ours, and to choose professional formulas that met the standards we were looking for.
We partnered with an expert skincare lab in Europe, and the new formulas are made in a certified facility in the United States. That partnership gives us access to professional skincare and haircare development while letting us stay focused on what we do best: making our signature products by hand in small batches and sharing products we’ve personally approved.
For us, this isn’t a change in our values. It’s a way to grow while staying true to them.
A bigger shelf, with the same careful eye
Our expanded line includes formulas for hair, scalp, and skincare. Each one brings something different to the shelf, and each has to earn its place there.
Take our Rosemary Hair & Scalp Strengthening Oil. It combines rosemary, argan, almond, and peppermint oils to help nourish the scalp and hair, support shine, and improve the feel of dry or brittle strands. The formula is 100% natural origin and 69% organic, and is COSMOS ORGANIC certified by ECOCERT Greenlife.
Our Rosemary + Mint Deep Cleanse Scalp Scrub takes a different approach to wash day. It’s designed to help remove product buildup and excess oil, with rosemary and peppermint oils, kaolin clay, and natural exfoliating particles. It’s 99% natural origin and 7% organic, and is COSMOS NATURAL certified by ECOCERT Greenlife.
Those certification details matter because they give you specific information about these formulas, not a blanket claim about everything we make. Our handmade signature products remain their own thing: made in small batches, with the care and attention that have always been part of Bubbly Babes.
The expanded skincare range also includes a Korean-inspired Turmeric + Glowing Toner, formulated with niacinamide, turmeric, and licorice root on an aloe vera juice base. And joining the line is our Sea Moss Repair Cream, a face-and-body cream with sea moss and colloidal oats, formulated to soothe itchy, inflamed skin.

Staying focused on what we do best
Growth can make a business feel like it has to become something entirely different. That’s not what we want for Bubbly Babes.
We’ll keep making the OGs you know us for: velvet body butters, foaming bath whips, glowing sugar scrubs, fitness salt scrubs, and donkey milk soaps, including our playful Ass Soap. Those products are still handmade in small batches on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The new formulas give you more ways to build a routine with Bubbly Babes. The handmade products remain the heart of our work. The two parts of the line can sit side by side without being made in the same way, because what matters is that each product meets the standard we set for it.
That means being clear about what each formula is, what it’s made with, and how we chose it. We don’t expect one product to be right for everyone. We want you to have useful options, and the information to decide what makes sense for you.

We’re still the local, small-business team you can visit in downtown Bay St. Louis, our flagship store, as well as downtown Ocean Springs and D’Iberville. We’re still here to help you find a scent, texture, or little self-care treat that feels like you. We took our time because we wanted this next step to feel right, not just exciting on launch day, but right for the long run. We wanted clean, professional formulas made to high standards, expert help where it made sense, and a way to keep giving our handmade OGs the attention they deserve.
That’s why we expanded. Not to leave our roots behind, but to bring a few more thoughtful options to the shelf.
